Mylène is a glaciologist, physical geographer and remote sensing specialist with interest in understanding how climate change is altering the processes, magnitude, and frequency of natural hazards in high mountain regions. Her research interests include: alpine mass movements, glacier instabilities, the role of large scale remote sensing datasets in operational hazard management, and early warning and alarm systems. Mylène co-developed ADVANCEing FieldSafety and has been involved in its ongoing curriculum development ever since. She continues to teach in-person workshops on the topic as well.
